Hand painted chiffon scarf or shawl

Chiffon is a very versatile silk. This scarf can be worn as a shawl in spring or summer, and wrapped around your neck in fall or winter, and is hand washable, mild soap, and warm water.
Since silk is a natural fiber, it keeps you both warm and cool...The fibers breathe. This length, 20"X90", is very popular in Santa Fe where I show my work. If you click on the photo, you can see a really large image. I use a watercolor approach, and apply the dyes with wide Chinese brushes. Enjoy!

  1. This scarf is long and can also be worn as a shawl. It has an abstract watercolor motif in jewel tones of turquoise, violet, magenta, gold, & teal on a grey background.
